Parliament Approves Agenda for February 20-28 Plenary Meetings

The Standing Bureau has approved the agenda for the parliament’s plenary meetings scheduled for February 20-28. Key topics include the creation of the Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecutor's Office, EU-related legislative drafts, and economic amendments, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Lawmakers will review EU-labeled drafts on fertilizing product regulations and public concessions, as well as ratify agreements with the European Commission and France’s National Territorial Cohesion Agency for urban development funding. A Memorandum with the UN for a passenger name record data system in air transport will also be considered.

Other discussions will focus on increasing the minimum pension, regulating alternative childcare services, and amending wealth declaration laws. MPs will also address consumer protection issues, including airline passenger rights and unjustified expenses in foreclosure cases.

Economic initiatives include infrastructure projects, a new U.S. Embassy headquarters, and the seventh package to cut business bureaucracy. Additionally, a simple motion on the Ministry of Health, submitted by the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, will be debated.

The plenary session will begin on February 20 at 10:00.
