Moldova Appoints New Officials in Key Government Positions

The Moldovan Government has appointed Dumitru Pîslaru as Secretary General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Minister Alexei Buzu emphasized that Pîslaru will focus on accelerating digitalization efforts and overseeing the reform of the national council for disability determination, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Additionally, Mihai Gabriel Ciobanu has been named State Secretary of the same ministry, tasked with combating informal labor and implementing a single-window system for social services. Both officials have recently returned from the diaspora.

In other government changes, Denis Sîtari has been appointed as deputy head of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology, replacing Marian Pocaznoi, whose mandate has expired.

Meanwhile, Serghei Cernev will take over as head of the Comrat Territorial Office of the State Chancellery, following the resignation of Ghenadie Cazanji. His role will involve ensuring the legality of UTA Gagauzia’s governance and strengthening decentralized services.

The government also approved the dismissal of Veaceslav Ursu as head of the Hâncești Territorial Office of the State Chancellery.
