Israel Opens Embassy in Chisinau, Strengthening Ties with Moldova
The Embassy of Israel has been officially inaugurated in Chisinau, with the foreign ministers of Moldova and Israel in attendance. Diplomats, ambassadors, and members of Moldova’s Jewish community also took part in the event, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Moshe Sa’ar called it a "historic landmark" and expressed pride in opening his first embassy as minister in Moldova, emphasizing the strength of bilateral relations.
Moldovan Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi highlighted the embassy as a symbol of mutual commitment and a catalyst for economic and cultural cooperation. He also underscored the vital role of Moldova’s 20,000-strong Jewish community in the country’s cultural diversity.
The new embassy is located in a commercial center in Chisinau.
