Greek Foreign Minister Visits Middle East Amid Ceasefire

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis is on an official visit to Middle Eastern countries following the ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as key developments in Syria, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

According to diplomatic sources, Gerapetritis is among the first European foreign ministers to visit the region since the ceasefire. Greece positions itself as a key interlocutor, maintaining strategic ties with Israel while preserving strong relations with the Arab world.

Discussions focus on post-conflict stabilization, humanitarian aid, and Greece’s role in promoting regional peace. Additionally, talks include Greece’s upcoming tenure as a UN Security Council member for 2025-2026.
