Moldovan Parliament Convenes for Extraordinary Session on Key Reforms

The agenda includes draft laws on combating organized crime, international data exchange for verifying wealth declarations, and protecting the EU’s financial interests against fraud. Lawmakers will also ratify a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to improve Chisinau’s centralized heating system and discuss regulations for alternative childcare services.
Speaker Grosu emphasized the urgency of adopting these measures to strengthen Moldova’s legal framework against organized crime and corruption. Under parliamentary rules, extraordinary sessions can be convened at the request of the president, the speaker, or one-third of MPs.
