Theodoros Roussopoulos Re-Elected as President of PACE
Theodoros Roussopoulos has been unanimously re-elected as president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). In his speech, Roussopoulos highlighted key priorities, including ensuring that Russia's war against Ukraine does not become normalized and pledging continued support for Ukraine. He also stressed the importance of addressing challenges to democracy, discrimination, and inequalities within member states.
Under Roussopoulos' leadership, PACE has pioneered the use of artificial intelligence, becoming the first international organization to develop an AI tool to support Assembly members and enhance transparency. To further these efforts, he announced plans for an international conference focusing on AI's impact on democracy.
