As the 14th president of the Parliament, Kaklamanis assumes the role of the third-highest-ranking official in the state, succeeding Constantine Tassoulas. Tassoulas stepped down after being nominated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the position of President of the Hellenic Republic.
