Bulgaria Joins the Schengen Family After 13 Years of Effort

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola announced Bulgaria's long-awaited entry into the Schengen area, praising the country's 13 years of dedication. Speaking at a press conference in Strasbourg alongside Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Metsola emphasized the significance of this milestone and expressed her support for Bulgaria's efforts to prepare for eurozone membership, calling it "an indispensable part of our daily lives."
