Moldova Strengthens Ties with Latvia in Pursuit of EU Goals

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov held a phone conversation today with Latvia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, focusing on Moldova's 2025 European agenda and ways Latvia can support its citizens' quality of life improvements, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

“Latvia is a reliable partner and supporter of Moldova in Brussels. With over 20 years of EU membership, Latvia’s experience in accession offers valuable lessons,” said Gherasimov. She also expressed gratitude for Latvia's ongoing support in strengthening Moldova's democratic institutions and backing its EU membership aspirations.

Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Latvia has provided Moldova with financial assistance in key sectors, including governance, education, border management, anti-corruption efforts, energy, civil society engagement, and metrology.
