Kostas Fragogiannis Resigns as Deputy Foreign Minister; Tassos Hatzivasiliou Named Successor

Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday, citing personal reasons. The prime minister accepted the resignation, expressing gratitude for Fragogiannis’ service, according to an official statement, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Tassos Hatzivasiliou, a New Democracy MP from Serres, has been appointed as the new Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for economic diplomacy and openness. Fragogiannis will continue to serve as an unpaid adviser to the prime minister on issues of extroversion.

The swearing-in ceremony for Hatzivasiliou is scheduled for Monday, January 20.
