Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited AlUla, Saudi Arabia, on Monday to attend the inaugural Greece-Saudi Arabia High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. The Council, Greece's first permanent bilateral cooperation framework with a Middle Eastern country, features sector-specific committees led by respective ministers. Saudi Arabia, a key player in the Gulf region, views Greece as a stable European democracy and an essential gateway to the EU. During the Council, Mitsotakis is set to meet Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, further strengthening this strategic partnership.
