Prime Minister Mitsotakis to Attend Greece-Cyprus-Egypt Summit in Cairo

Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis announced that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Cairo on Wednesday for the 10th Greece-Cyprus-Egypt Trilateral Summit. Prior to the summit, Mitsotakis is scheduled to meet privately with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. After the summit, the three leaders will address the press, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

"The summit takes place amid shifting dynamics in the Middle East, underscoring the significance of Greece-Cyprus-Egypt cooperation as a pillar of stability in the region," Marinakis noted.

In other updates, Marinakis introduced the new Traffic Code, now open for public consultation. The regulations aim to promote driver compliance, ensure penalties reflect the severity of violations, and enforce fine collection. Escalating penalties for repeat offenders are also proposed.

Lastly, he announced that the cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Mitsotakis, will convene on Friday, January 10, at the Maximos Mansion.
