Biden Pledges Continued Military Support to Ukraine Following Russian Attacks

US President Joe Biden has vowed to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities following overnight aerial attacks by Russia, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

“I have directed the Department of Defense to continue its surge of weapons deliveries to Ukraine,” Biden said Wednesday, reaffirming the United States' commitment to supporting Ukraine against Russian forces.

His statement followed Ukrainian accusations of “inhumane” Christmas Day airstrikes, which injured at least six people. Biden condemned the attacks, noting they targeted cities and critical energy infrastructure, aiming to deprive Ukrainians of heat and electricity during winter.

Biden emphasized the need for global support, stating that the Ukrainian people deserve peace and safety, and pledged continued efforts to help Ukraine prevail against Russian aggression.
