On Christmas Day, Defence Minister Nikos Dendias visited Alexandroupolis alongside Hellenic Army General Staff Chief Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Dendias attended the Christmas liturgy at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Anthimos. Following the service, he met with the Metropolitan.

Later, accompanied by Lt. Gen. Stavros Papastathopoulos, commander of the 4th Army Corps "Thrace," and Lt. Gen. Ioannis Korres, commander of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division "Evros," Dendias visited the Kipi Bridge. There, he exchanged Christmas greetings with border guards.

Dendias emphasized Greece's role as a stabilizing force in a critical region, highlighting its commitment to International Law and the Law of the Sea while rejecting ideologies of hegemony. He reaffirmed Greece’s readiness to defend its sovereignty and rights.
