Government Highlights Increased Revenue and Youth Protection Initiatives
Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis emphasized in an interview with SKAI TV on Tuesday that the administration is boosting revenue without imposing additional taxes on citizens. Addressing minors' use of social media, Marinakis highlighted the government’s broader focus on protecting youth. He pointed to measures against violence and internet addiction, including a campaign against school bullying, which has logged over 500 incidents this year. Other initiatives include a helpline for students, programs addressing violence against women, and the "Safe Youth" app. Marinakis also noted the enforcement of a ban on mobile phones in schools, which has seen significant progress under the current Minister of Education.
