Moldovan President Maia Sandu Sets Up Commission to Elect Strategic Communication Centre Director

On December 16, President Maia Sandu signed a decree establishing a commission to oversee the public contest for selecting the new director of the Centre for Strategic Communication and Combatting Misinformation, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The commission includes journalists, civil society representatives, MPs, and members of the presidential administration. It will organize the contest in line with existing regulations, with further details on the selection stages to be announced soon.

The Centre, created in July 2023 at President Sandu’s initiative, aims to strengthen institutional cooperation in combating misinformation, manipulation, and foreign interference that threaten national security and interests.
