Moldova and India have signed several agreements to enhance cooperation in migration, energy, and diplomacy. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar formalized the documents during an official meeting, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The signed agreements include a declaration of intent on migration, promoting labor mobility and expertise exchange, and Moldova's accession to the International Solar Alliance (ISA), enabling collaboration in green energy. A Memorandum of Understanding between the foreign ministries aims to develop diplomatic skills and facilitate experience-sharing.

Both officials highlighted the strengthening of political-diplomatic dialogue and growing bilateral trade. Moldova expressed interest in expanding cooperation in agriculture, education, culture, and health while advancing its European Union integration goals.

Key discussions included liberalizing the export of Moldovan fresh fruit to India, negotiating an aviation agreement to attract Indian investment, and exploring regional and international security issues.

The visit also marked the official inauguration of Moldova's embassy in New Delhi, reflecting a commitment to deepening ties.

Popșoi's visit to New Delhi, from December 15-16, focuses on fostering political, economic, and trade relations between the two nations.
