Greece Focuses on Sustainable Tourism Growth, Says Deputy Minister

Deputy Tourism Minister Elena Rapti outlined Greece's strategy for sustainable tourism during the 6th annual "Greek Tourism, a National Issue!" conference held in Athens on Thursday, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Speaking in the "Green and Blue Economy" session, Rapti emphasized the ministry's commitment to promoting eco-friendly and sustainable tourism. "Our strategic choice is to adopt mild and sustainable tourism practices that manage natural resources responsibly and highlight the unique characteristics of each destination," she said.

She stressed the importance of collaboration with local governments, community stakeholders, and tourism professionals to achieve this vision. Rapti expressed confidence that joint efforts could position Greece as a globally attractive destination, offering visitors high-quality, authentic experiences while delivering long-term benefits to local communities.
