Ukraine has ability, right to restore own borders as of 1991 – U.S. State Department

Ukraine has all the necessary opportunities, as well as the right, to free the temporarily occupied territories and restore its sovereignty within the internationally recognized borders as of 1991. Cereport reports citing Ukrinform

That’s according to the U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, who spoke at a Washington briefing on Thursday, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"We believe that Ukraine has the ability and has the right, and we support Ukraine in defending its sovereignty and its territorial integrity," the State Department spokesman said in response to a question about whether US aid is aimed at restoring Ukraine's 1991 borders.
