
Macedonia’s Economy to Grow Steadily, Says IMF
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its latest report projects that the Macedonian economy will grow by 3.2 percent both in 2025 and 2026. Inflation rate is projected at 3.4 percent and at 2.2 percent in 2026, according to IMF, CE Report quotes MIA.
Regarding countries in the region, economic growth in Serbia is projected at 3.5 percent, at 3.8 percent in Albania, 4 percent in Kosovo, 3.2 percent in Montenegro and at 2.8 percent in BiH.
In its latest report, the IMF lowered its economic growth projections for 2025 noting that rising tariffs and general uncertainty will contribute to “significant stagnation”.
The global economy will expand by 2.8 percent this year, according to global projections, down compared to the previous projection of 3.3 percent.
The U.S. economy will grow by 1.8 percent after being initially projected at 2.7 percent. Great Britain’s economy, after being projected at 1.6 percent, has been reversed to 1.1 percent, according to the latest projections.
