Moldova Increases Pensions by 10%

President Maia Sandu announced that, starting today, pensions in Moldova will grow by 10%. Since 2020, the president has committed to improving the lives of pensioners, stating that after years of work and contributions, people deserve respect and support, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Sandu highlighted that the minimum old age pension has risen from 1,188 lei in 2020 to 3,055 lei today, while the average pension has doubled from 2,255 lei to 4,407 lei.

To continue increasing pensions, the president emphasized the importance of building a strong economy and a safe country, encouraging young people to stay and contribute to the pension fund. Preserving Moldova's European path is key to these efforts.
