Over 26,000 People Have Paid Health Insurance Policies in 2025
More than 26,000 individuals have purchased compulsory health insurance policies since the beginning of this year, marking an increase of nearly 6,000 compared to the same period in 2024. Payments were made through the government’s electronic service, MPay, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
According to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), individuals required to obtain insurance benefit from discounted rates during the first three months of the year. The discounted amounts range from 1,264 to 5,054 lei, depending on the category of the insured.
So far, around 15,000 people, including individual enterprise founders, patent holders, lessors, and foreign residents in Moldova, have paid 2,527 lei. Additionally, over 10,000 agricultural landowners have paid 1,264 lei.
Meanwhile, over 1,000 individuals involved in independent retail activities have paid 1,895 lei, and more than 300 people have opted for the full policy price of 5,054 lei.
After March 31, those who miss the deadline will need to pay the full policy price of 12,636 lei, plus a daily penalty of 0.1% for late payment.
