The Prime Minister emphasized that in the face of the ongoing energy crisis, maintaining competitiveness and combating inflation remain top priorities. In the long term, adapting to market energy prices is essential.

“Our goal is to establish a transition period during which we will invest in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources to reduce costs. Meanwhile, we will support the food industry through both short- and long-term measures. This crisis is not only a challenge but also an opportunity to transform our economy into a more efficient and sustainable one,” said PM Recean.

The Prime Minister also outlined plans for compensation programs for businesses and a state assistance mechanism to support industrial investments, particularly those aimed at modernizing operations and improving energy efficiency.

Industry representatives raised issues including subsidies for solar panel installations, energy audits, and the need to revise customs taxes on imported raw materials. They also shared energy-saving measures already implemented, such as installing automatic electricity sensors and replacing traditional lamps with LEDs.
