Moldova’s Model Schools Receive Advanced Interactive Technology

Five educational institutions in Moldova, part of the Model Schools Network, will be equipped with state-of-the-art interactive tables valued at over one million lei. The donation was made by Huawei, a leading electronic equipment company, and was unveiled at an event attended by Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The Model Schools Network, launched by the Education and Research Ministry in 2023, initially included 35 schools, with plans for modernization involving an investment of about €2 million. Minister Perciun announced the potential expansion of the project to include up to 90 schools, highlighting the importance of partnerships with private companies. “We are grateful to Huawei for their support, contributing one of the most advanced pieces of equipment on the market to modernize our schools,” said Perciun.

Huawei Moldova Director Guo Min emphasized the company's commitment to supporting digital education and developing young people's digital skills. “Investing in education ensures a prosperous future. We are proud to contribute to Moldova's modernization efforts with our innovative technologies,” he stated.

The schools benefiting from the new interactive tables include Stefan Voda Theoretical Lyceum, Alexei Mateevici Theoretical Lyceum, Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum, and Vasile Coroban Theoretical Lyceum.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Ministry of Education and Research to modernize schools with cutting-edge technology and ensure a brighter future for Moldova's education system.
