Crisis Cell Launched to Ensure Public Safety During Winter Holidays

A crisis cell begins operations today under the government to manage potential emergencies, ensuring citizens' safety during the winter holidays and addressing possible power outages, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The Interior Ministry will increase patrols at public events, monitor fireworks use, and manage traffic in crowded areas. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations will oversee fire prevention and related safety measures.

The Border Police, in collaboration with neighboring countries, will enhance border crossing management and staffing. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Regional Development will focus on road maintenance and winter preparedness.

Additional measures include expedited document issuance for diaspora citizens, assistance for vulnerable populations, and quality control of food products by the National Agency for Food Safety.

Moldova has been under a state of emergency since December 16.
