Preparations for Forest's Generation afforestation campaign in Moldova: environment minister, policemen give small oak trees to drivers
Environment Minister Sergiu Lazarencu and representatives of the Road Police today distributed small oak trees to drivers. The action was held in the centre of Chisinau, in the context of the preparations for the Forest’s Generation afforestation campaign, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
The afforestation campaign is set to mobilize people from all over Moldova to plant trees. In all, over 26 million small trees will be planted this autumn. At the same time, this year, over 7,300 hectares of forest will be planted. As many as 3,300 hectares were planted in the last spring and another 4,000 hectares will be planted in the autumn of 2024.
