First Home Plus program remains open to all eligible citizens, including diaspora. Diaspora has not been included or excluded in any particular way. Any eligible person living in the territory of the Republic of Moldova or returning to the country, for example, from Ireland or the UK or any other country, and applying for the program will be able to benefit from it. The clarifications were made by government spokesman Daniel Voda, who denied reports that the diaspora will not have access to the program, CE Report quotes Moldpres.

Daniel Voda pointed out that the program by its name suggests its purpose: to guarantee housing for people. Government has improved the eligibility conditions. For example, it has removed the age limit of 35 years, allowing the inclusion of people close to retirement age, provided they repay the loan on preferential terms before retirement. The ceiling was raised from 1 million lei to 2.5 million lei. At the same time, the government has created conditions that the majority of beneficiaries should not only be from Chisinau municipality and has increased the degree of guarantee for deposits guaranteed by the government for apartments or houses purchased in the regions.
