Kosovo Energy Workers Demand Collective Agreement Enforcement

The New Union of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) will organize a protest on May 1, International Workers' Day. This union in this protest demands a wage increase, the establishment of a labor court, respect for labor rights, the implementation of the collective agreement and other vital issues for workers, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The protest will be held on Thursday, at 12:00, at "Skënderbeu" Square in Pristina.

In the announcement, the New Union says that their work involves extreme fatigue, constant danger and daily sacrifice, emphasizing that "there is no money that can pay for this work."

"We protest for a dignified salary and respect for our work," the announcement says.

The New Kosovo Energy Corporation Union is holding a press conference tomorrow. The conference will address the May 1st protest, which focuses on raising wages, establishing a labor court, respecting labor rights, implementing the collective agreement, and other vital issues for workers.
