U.S. envoy reflects on Kosovo’s progress ahead of retirement
The U.S. Ambassador to Pristina, Jeffrey Hovenier, held a farewell meeting with Kosovo's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.
The American diplomat provided details of the discussion in a post on Platform X, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
"We discussed Kosovo's progress during my tenure and the close cooperation that would enable the United States to more effectively advocate for Kosovo to take its rightful place in European and Euro-Atlantic structures," Hovenier wrote.
Hovenier will conclude his term in Kosovo at the end of this month. He had previously stated that his service in Pristina would be his last, as he plans to retire at the end of the year.
"I will retire after 34 years and seven months of service at the end of December," he said.
