The study focused on brown adipose tissue (brown fat), which helps burn energy and regulate body temperature. Researchers found that individuals conceived in winter showed higher brown fat activity, potentially reducing the risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes later in life. The study involved 356 healthy men, aged 18 to 29, and suggested that winter conception may contribute to improved metabolic function.
