Italy's low-income rate lower than EU's
Italy's proportion of earners on a low income is better than the EU's at 8.8% to the bloc's average of 14.7% as of 2022, Eurostat said.
Low-income workers are defined as those who earn two-thirds less than the median hourly pay in their country of work, CE Report quotes ANSA.
Rates are higher among women and young people, Eurostat said.
