Belgium faces nationwide strike

The strike was called in opposition to potential pension reform plans. Reports indicate that 40% of flights to and from Brussels Airport were canceled after staff walked off the job.
Arrivals at Brussels Airport were less affected than departures, but cancellations persisted. Disruptions are expected throughout the day, and airport services, such as baggage handling, may be slower than usual due to staff shortages.
