Spain Holds Emergency Security Meeting After Nationwide Blackout

"After an intense night, 99.95% of energy demand has been restored," following yesterday's massive blackout, "and 100% of transport network substations have been brought back online."

This was written by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez in a message on X, where he thanked the public "for once again being an example of responsibility and civic spirit," despite the considerable inconveniences, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Sánchez also reported that an extraordinary meeting of the National Security Council has been underway since this morning at the Moncloa Palace to analyze the causes and current situation.
