Bosnia’s shocking energy decline

Energy

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, once a stable producer of electricity, is now at times becoming a net importer.

Experts and officials deem this situation unacceptable, CE Report quotes FENA.

Over the past four years, electricity production has dropped by 23 percent due to decades of neglect, crises in coal mines, and outdated thermal power plants.

The problem has escalated, and the Government of the Federation of BiH insists the energy sector must be urgently repaired.
