Croatian MPs extend 5% VAT rate on gas, heating

Croatian MPs supported amendments to the VAT Act, extending the application of the reduced 5% VAT rate on gas supply, heating fuel, and heating until 31 March 2026.

The opposition also argued that stricter controls on retailers were necessary, CE Report quotes HINA.

Additionally, they called for higher taxation on banks.
