Government Extends Price Caps for Electricity and Natural Gas

The government has approved an extension of price caps for electricity and natural gas to protect consumers and support the economy, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Thursday, CE Report quotes Agerpres

The price cap for electricity will be extended for three months, until the end of June, while the cap on natural gas will remain in place for another year. Ciolacu stated that additional measures will be introduced to ensure electricity prices remain low and that gas reserves are replenished at affordable rates for the next winter.
