Italy's gas stocks were running at 68%, the CEO of gas-network company SNAM Stefano Venier said, CE Report quotes ANSA.

"We are slightly above the European average and this gives us an advantage over other European countries", he explained.

"We are on the higher end of the average" recorded over the "past five years but it's hard to make a forecast before March, it depends on how cold it will be", continued Venier, adding that, like in other European countries, climate affects inventories in Italy.
