Moldovan Prime Minister Takes Charge of Energy Ministry Amid Emergency Preparations

Prime Minister Dorin Recean held a working meeting at the Energy Ministry to discuss priorities for the immediate future and preparations for a potential state of emergency in the energy sector, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Recean announced plans to bring the issue to the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), the Government, and Parliament next week to establish the state of emergency starting December 16.

The Prime Minister has appointed State Secretary Constantin Borosan to oversee administrative processes during his temporary tenure as energy minister. Recean assumed the energy portfolio on December 5, highlighting the importance of contingency plans to ensure the country's energy supply amid ongoing challenges.
