Landmark EPCM contract for Cernavoda Units 3 and 4 signed in Baku

National nuclear energy producer Nuclearelectrica, project company Energonuclear and the consortium of Fluor, Sargent & Lundy (U.S.), Atkins Realis (CANDU - Canada ) and Ansaldo (Italy) signed on Friday in Baku, on the occasion of the COP 29 meeting, a landmark contract for the construction of Cernavoda nuclear power plant Units 3 and 4, the Romanian Energy Ministry announced in a release, CE Report quotes Agerpres

At the General Meeting of Nuclearelectrica SA Shareholders held on November 14, the Energy Ministry voted for the signing of the key contract, and the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contract - LNTP phase for the development of Cernavoda Units 3 and 4 was consequently inked on Friday during a festive ceremony in Baku.
