Croatian, Polish first ladies celebrate World Art Day

Sanja Musić Milanović, wife of Croatian President Zoran Milanović, and Agata Kornhauser-Duda, wife of Polish President Andrzej Duda visited the Zagreb Music Academy and the Sveti Duh University Hospital.

Agata Kornhauser-Duda is accompanying her husband on an official visit to Croatia, the Office of the President of Croatia said, CE Report quotes HINA.

The visit to the Zagreb Music Academy - Croatia's oldest and largest institution of higher education for music - coincided with World Art Day, celebrated today.

Musić Milanović and Kornhauser-Duda toured the Academy in the company of Dean Igor Lešnik and Vice Dean for Teaching Srđan Čaldarević.

They also attended a short concert featuring works by Croatian and Polish composers - Frederic Chopin, Josip Hatze and Ivo Josipović.

The Academy, which is part of the University of Zagreb, has produced numerous acclaimed artists and educators, recognised both in Croatia and internationally for their contributions and excellence in music education.

Following the Academy visit, the two first ladies toured the Sveti Duh University Hospital, where they met with hospital representatives.

Discussions focused on the work of the Department of Neonatology and its collaboration with the "Palčići" association of parents of premature babies.

The presidential spouses also visited the hospital's maternity and gynecology facilities.
