Minecraft Movie towers over box office rivals
Beyond even the rosiest expectations, "A Minecraft Movie" - a live-action film adaptation of the world’s most popular video game - has stormed the U.S. box office with a record-breaking $157 million in just three days.
It's a global success (including Italy, where it has already surpassed 3 million euros over the weekend), CE Report quotes ANSA.
The action-comedy, directed by Jared Hess and starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, alongside Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge, packed cinemas around the world, giving Warner Bros. a high-octane weekend.
In second place, though far behind, A Working Man earned $7.3 million, while The Chosen: Last Supper claimed third place with $7.7 million, knocking Snow White off the podium.
