The Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris for the first time on March 27. Under the direction of conductor Michelangelo Mazza, the orchestra will accompany a Puccini Gala featuring renowned soprano Anna Netrebko and tenor Yusif Eyvazov, CE Report quotes BTA

This invitation follows the orchestra's successful performance at the Masters of Classic festival in Bucharest last September. Sofia Philharmonic Director Nayden Todorov will also finalize plans for future concerts in Paris, including a performance on January 7, 2026, with Bulgarian soprano Sonya Yoncheva.

The Theatre des Champs-Elysees, which opened on March 31, 1913, has hosted many notable performances, including works by composers like Saint-Saens and Debussy.
