The Museum of Recent Art (MARe) is showcasing a selection of its international contemporary art collection for the first time, starting Thursday. The exhibition features works by over 50 artists from 20 countries, including Giorgio de Chirico, Lucio Fontana, Antony Gormley, Bridget Riley, and Richard Serra—artists whose works are also housed in renowned institutions like MoMA, Tate, and Pompidou, CE Report quotes Agerpres

Titled All Our Todays, the exhibition, curated by Flavia Frigeri and Ioana Iuna Serban, presents over 60 pieces that explore the interplay between figurative and abstract art. It invites visitors to reflect on how artists capture contemporaneity through personal experiences and unique worldviews.

"The exhibition is structured around thematic constellations, bridging abstract and figurative elements, guiding viewers through different artistic explorations of self and art’s essence," says curator Dr. Flavia Frigeri.

Running until May 25, All Our Todays includes guided tours during its opening week: Dr. Flavia Frigeri leads an English tour on February 13, followed by Ioana Iuna Serban’s presentation on February 14. Tickets are available at www.mare.ro.

For six years, MARe has hosted over 50 international and Romanian exhibitions alongside concerts, theater performances, poetry evenings, film screenings, and discussions, solidifying its role as a key cultural hub.
