Romanian Films to Shine at Palm Springs International Film Festival

Films by Tudor Giurgiu, Emanuel Parvu, and Bogdan Muresanu will be showcased at the Palm Springs International Film Festival this January, according to a statement from the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, CE Report quotes Agerpres

The featured productions include The New Year That Never Came by Bogdan Muresanu, Three Kilometres to the End of the World by Emanuel Parvu—Romania’s official submission for the 2025 Oscars—and Nasty by Tudor Giurgiu.

These films explore themes of history, identity, and society, reflecting the diversity and creativity of Romanian filmmakers. The Romanian Cultural Institute, a key supporter of Romanian cinema in North America, co-organizes and finances numerous Romanian film events across the U.S. and Canada.
