National Art Gallery to Showcase Lyuben Dimitrov's Legacy in Sofia

The National Art Gallery will host an exhibition celebrating the works of Bulgarian painter and sculptor Lyuben Dimitrov (1904–2000) at Sofia's Kvadrat 500 from December 12, 2024, to May 15, 2025, CE Report quotes BTA

A founding member of the Society of New Artists in 1931, Dimitrov created over 60 works between 1929 and 1986, including portraits, monuments, and decorative sculptures for public buildings. His art is prominently displayed across Sofia in banks, schools, ministries, libraries, and theaters.

The exhibition will feature seven easel works from the National Art Gallery, Sofia City Art Gallery, Kazanlak Art Gallery, and the artist's estate, alongside photographic representations of some of his monumental sculptures.

The event is supported by BTA as a media partner.
