Government Launches Third Edition of "Library Under the Christmas Tree" Campaign

Culture

The government has announced the launch of the third annual Library Under the Christmas Tree campaign, running from December 3 to December 20. During this period, books will be collected beneath a Christmas tree at the government headquarters to be distributed to children across the country, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

According to the government’s communication department, the initiative invites contributions from everyone—public institutions, companies, and private individuals alike—to support the promotion of reading. Donations can be made daily between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

This year, the collected books will benefit children in foster care centers and hospitals, where spaces have been set up to encourage young readers.

Last year’s campaign saw over 5,500 books donated, which were distributed to more than 50 school libraries. The government hopes to build on this success and bring the joy of reading to even more children this holiday season.
