European Film Festival amplifies voices of people with disabilities

Culture

Through a rich selection of films and documentaries from various countries worldwide, the European Film Festival, held in Pristina, highlights the voices and experiences of people with disabilities.

From December 1 to December 3, 2024, citizens are invited to enjoy European art and culture at Kino Armata in Pristina, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

This event is part of the European Film Festival, which is also integrated into the International Festival "Art Without Limits," organized by the European Union Office in Kosovo in collaboration with the Embassy of Belgium.

During the festival's opening, Ioanna Lachana, spokesperson for the EU Office in Kosovo, emphasized that the focus of the films and documentaries is on the experiences of people with disabilities, reflecting the values and message of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

"Through art, everyone has a responsibility to help build a more inclusive world," Lachana stated.
“The festival offers a powerful platform where the voices of people with disabilities can be heard. As you all know, tomorrow marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Today, through art, we begin a discussion about how each of us holds a responsibility to create a more inclusive world,” Lachana added.

The opening of the festival featured the promotion of two films: "A Sister" and "Rondini".
