A symbol of Romanian tradition, the Romanian folk blouse 'ia' is an element that has shown us that it has the power to unite Romanians with the same desire - to protect and acknowledge the cultural heritage, said Culture minister Raluca Turcan on Monday, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"A short while ago, Romanians from all over the world joined the "give credit" campaign, which aimed at the inestimable value and international recognition of the Romanian folk blouse 'ia'. Today, on the Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse, under the theme "A New Beginning - Give Credit", I am glad that we manage to protect our cultural heritage and to convey to the world the message of love and respect for Romanian folk costume and artisans," Raluca Turcan wrote on Facebook.
