The Sofia Philharmonic performed a concert featuring Beethoven's in New York on February 11. Musicians from the Bulgarian Concert Evenings in New York initiative were among those present, including pianists Lora Chekoratova and Nadezhda Vlaeva, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York said on its Facebook page. The solo performance of the 16-year-old virtuoso pianist Ivaylo Vassilev, laureate of dozens of international competitions, was particularly impressive, the diplomatic representation noted.
