A historic laboratory in which Polish scientist Maria Skłodowska-Curie reportedly conducted some of her groundbreaking research has been granted a temporary reprieve after originally being slated for demolition. CE Report quoting The First News
Located in the Latin Quarter of Paris, wrecking crews had been scheduled to move into the Pavillon des Sources this morning. Attracting the attention of the world’s media, the decision to level the building was reversed at the eleventh hour on Friday following the personal intervention of France’s culture minister, Rima Abdul Malak.
